Screen turned off all of a sudden

i had new screen installed after i broke my previous one on my asus K53s it alos had little issues like the screen would turn grey/white all of a sudden but by moving the screen back and forth or pressing the edges of the screen or sometimes by restarting the laptop the problem would be fixed. Recently i was just pressing the bottom edge of the screen and all of a sudden the laptop shut off i restarted it but there was no display not even any back light but the system was running ok as i checked it with externl monitor can any one help me what can can be the problem and the solution

Have you checked the cabling to see if it is possibly damaged? Especially if you used some or all of the same ones that the prior display used.
