SD card compatibility for LG

Ls676zva Android 6.0.1

I just installed a 64 gigabyte SD card into my LG smartphone. I cannot move any of my apps to the SD drive because there are no move formations inside the applications. This is a new phone through my insurance from breaking the last phone but the last phone abled me to have move permissions. So I'm wondering if it's because the SD card memory is too high that it makes it not compatible?

You'll hate me for this but have you nominated the SdCard as Internal Storage in Settings?

Previous versions than your 6.0 didn't have that facility and that's my excuse for asking the question.
