how can I be sure everything moved to the sd card first and then how do u free up space on your phone afterwards?

Anytime I try to transfer data I do the transfer then I try the media in a source that was uninvolved in the process.

for example, I would load everything to that SD card, then use the adapter chip and try the card on a computer. That way you can see if everything transferred.
