SD card not reading new photos

I took a bunch of family photos this weekend with my Nikon D40. I was able to view the pictures on my camera but when I removed the card and plugged it into my computer only old photos are showing up. I can't view any of the photos I took this past weekend. Is there any way to get these back!? Thanks!

Hi,

Have you tried that same SD card into a different PC? If it's not showing as well using a different PC I would suggest to try using a cable from your camera to your PC to get those pictures.
- First connect the SD card back to your camera.
- Next is to connect your camera into your laptop using the cable that came with the camera.
- Finally it should show up in your PC and see if you'll get all the pictures you're talking about that was not showing up using just the SD card.
