SD Card Reader stopped working after internal HDD swap

Hello,

15 days ago I swapped my internal HDD with a new bigger one. I cloned it and everything seems to work fine except for the Card Reader.

I inserted two different cards but they don't show up. Checked under Device Manager but couldn't locate the SD Reader.

I read on an older thread here that i should check if it was disabled in the BIOS settings but when i checked them i didn't see it there as SD Reader or something similar.

Laptop: Acer Aspire 5735z

Have you tried downloading the driver for it again?

Here are the drivers for your laptop.

Download the card reader driver and install it.

Yeah I did. Still nothing. The SD Reader isn't showing up even after I install the driver for it

Is tbere a chance you could have knocked the reader loose while changing hard drives? Have you checked that it is securely plugged in/cords are attached?
