I was wondering if anyone could point me towards a decent laptop for watching videos and, if possible, playing some less demanding games like...

HL2
Minecraft
Killing Floor
Left 4 Dead
Alien Swarm
CS:S
League of Legends
Starcraft 2 at low-mid

These are the only games I would play, so I don't need a full-on gaming machine. I am just hoping someone could help me find one that can handle these at low-mid settings for under $500.

I was looking into the Asus 1215n, but found out its power adapter pin breaks frequently and they won't fix it, so I am trying to avoid that one...

Hello dci260;

You want to stay away from 'Netbooks and look at Notebooks if you want to run games. Netbooks use low power CPU/GPUs.
Asus 1215n won't do well with SC2 and L4D, Trackmania and CS:S are just 'barely' playable at low settings.

Pentium P6200(2.13GHz) CPU 3GB RAM 320GB HDD 15.6" 1366x768 LCD w/ Intel HD Graphics

Intel HD Graphics is still not a 'gaming' solution but it's about the best you'll find under $500.

Do you think it will run those games at like mid and starcraft 2 at low???

UPDATE:
I gave up and just decided to stick with my current gaming desktop, which kicks the crap out of any laptop under 1k
