Solved! Second monitor problem

Hello, I have a new desktop. It’s kinda older but I have 1 hdmi that works fine and then
I want my dual monitor, I have a vga to hdmi adapter hooked up to my second monitor
My pc shows it’s detected I can go out of frame on first pc
By my second monitor is black and says check connections which I did.
what could be the problem and how should I fix it?

The problem is the HDMI to VGA adapter. HDMI is digital. VGA and analog. You either need an Active (powered) HDMI to VGA adapter or you need to use a digital input on the secondary display.
