Security camera types

I need a camera to record for 12 hour intervals directly to a hard drive without a computer in the building. Is this possible and what other options do i have?

1. Where are you buying? US, UK, elsewhere...

2. What kind of clarity are you looking for in the camera(s). This has a MAJOR impact on price of the system.

I have a now 5 year old Lorex system for the house. 4 cameras, talking to a continuously recording drive. I got it for $150, on sale.

Im buying in Lithuania ( Between Poland and Russia ) and I want the video to be color , about 5-10 fps and about 720p
For now 1 camera but in the future I may need up to 3

Hard for me to recommend, because I don't know the market in Lithuania.
But, depending on desired clarity, the all in one DVR systems are generally pretty good.

Motion detection, color, IR, continuous recording, etc, etc....
