Serial smartphone killer, advice?

I've had a bit of history with breaking my devices. I've found a phone that I really like, which I believe will be able to serve me for a good while, being 'futureproof'. Though there might be debate on that, should I buy another unit for when my current one inevitably dies?

Not sure what you are asking, you want to buy two of the same phone in-case yours dies? You may want to look into how much accidental damage insurance would be for your phone and get it replaced that way.
