Set an Alert for Each Time a Specific Twitter User Tweets

You follow others on Twitter to keep track of their updates. When you follow a lot of people, you can lose track of important tweets.

To mitigate this issue, you can set an alert which gets triggered every time your favorite user tweets something.

In order to set an alert, you must have your cell phone number attached to your Twitter account. After you have configured your profile for alert notifications, every time the target Twitter user tweets something, Twitter sends you an alert message via text message on your mobile phone.

It is easy to set tweet alerts for a user on Twitter. Here is how:

■Use a web browser to sign to your Twitter account.
■Ensure that you have already attached your phone number to your account.
■On the Home page, search the user by typing the name in the search box (box with a magnifying glass) for whom you want to set a notification alert.

■Once the the user is found, click the user from the displayed results to go to the user’s profile. (Hugh Jackman in this demonstration.)
■On the user’s page, click the gear icon available at upper-right section.
■From the available list, click the Turn on mobile notifications option.
