Although the steps for my device were not the same as described, I was able to utilize this thread to locate the option to set my files to automatically go directly to the SD Card. I can change music, documents, etc. However, the main thing I want to go directly to the card is apps. I would need to change the set home directory option to make this happen, but it is greyed. How to I make this option available?http://www.tomsguide.com/faq/id-1772970/set-default-download-location-card.html

Unfortunately, that guide is a bit outdated. It mentions that apps can be moved, but that was because it was written for earlier versions of Android. As of Android version 4.2 or so, Android phones no longer support the moving of apps to SD cards, and are no longer to run apps off of an SD card. The only way to circumvent those restrictions, so far as I know, is to root your device, which is a whole different conversation.
