Sharing problem

Setup = 5080 wired ethernet connected thru SMC router

Had sharing set up and working for long time. Suddenly stopped working with
no changes made. I accept show and download stays at 0% and when I check
later always says "network errors, check your internet connection." I can
send shows OK.

The device connects to server no problem ever. Online support worthless (1
email asking boilerplate questions every 2 weeks).

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance

Is that Replay's LAN IP (not your public WAN IP) dynamic or static? If
dynamic, has it changed? That will break port forwarding. This will
not affect central server connects, but will affect show sharing.

I had a dynamic IP at first. The a software upgrade made it change 2-3
times a week, so I changed to static. It's easy to do.

Does it happen with ALL downloads or just some? I had a similar problem
about a year ago and found that some downloads caused problems while
others were fine even though it was the same show from multiple sources.
Is the source d/l'ing to others at the same time? that can cause a
problem too. I'll be happy to send you something if you need another d/l
to test.

Happens w ALL downloading...appears to start but never progresses past 0%.
SMC uses virtual server function (= port forwarding) where port linked to
fixed IP (my LAN) address of RTV.

?I could try to put the RTV in DMZ but lose firewall. dont know how much
problem with hacking there is.
