100GB is not enough for me to adopt when I can go buy a 1TB hard drive for less money than the disc alone is going to cost.

Reap as much from the consumer with current technology. Then when looking for a new revenue of income, introduce "new technology" with all the bullshiit marketing spin to entice and lure in consumers.
Hence the human race does not advance anywhere near its potential.
