Check this out, I go to order a MSI laptop this morning and want to ship it to TN. Guess what? --- $120.00 tax on the laptop due to it being TN. Therefore, if I ship to NY, no tax.

What does anyone recommend for sending the laptop through the mail from NY to TN?

USPS?
UPS?

Someone was saying in another forum about a flat rate box from Postal Service?

Thanks for your help

I would suppose USPS is best as long as they have a box that is large enough.

I am going to guess you placed an order with Newegg. Newegg charges taxes in California, Tennessee and New Jersey. They are required by law to charge taxes in states where they have infrastructures. Their HQ is in CA and they have warehouses in TN and NJ.
Large Flat Rate from post office, insured is probably the cheapest. You would need the longer larger box, there is a square large one but that won't fit a laptop past a small one.
