Shortcut to boot from disk?

I have a sony vaio pcg 71315L that im trying to fix for a friend. Of course there is a bios password and I cant crack that. So he told me to wipe it and reinstall windows but i cant even get it to boot from disk. I cant change the boot sequence without being in the bios. Is there like a keyboard shortcut or something? When the computer starts up all it says is Sony Vaio and then the blinking cursor at the top left. Help! Thanks!

try pressing f11 or f8 on startup.one of those should take you to the advanced boot menu.
