Should I buy the Lenovo Yoga or the Dell Inspiron?

I am looking for a laptop for general use that can also handle Photoshop/3D modeling, as well as some light gaming. I am trying to decide between the Lenovo Yoga 710, model 80U0000FUS and the Dell Inspiron 15, model i7559-763BLK .
The Lenovo has 16 gb ram with an i7 processor and a 2gb nvidia 940, while the Dell has 8 gb ram with a quad core i5 processor and a 4 gb nvidia 960, so I'm not sure which is better.
The Lenovo also has a touchscreen, a longer battery life, and some other better features, but those are much less important than speed.

(The prices are roughly the same with the student discount for the lenovo)

Considering photoshop, 3D modelling and light gaming together, the Dell would be better. While the core i7 is nice, it's only dual core(if I'm not wrong) while the core i5 is quad core which will help better in 3D modelling and the graphics card is also better than the 940M.
