Should I buy this laptop?

I'm looking for a laptop mainly for gaming. I found this on craigslist: http/asheville.craigslist.org/syd/4572297293.html

Now my birthday is in September, and I have the money now for the laptop on craigslist. Should I get the one on craigslist now or wait until my birthday and get the 800-something dollar version of the lenovo Y510p (the single gpu one, not the sli). OR should I wait until Christmas and get the lenovo Y510p with the sli gpu?

Go for the newer Lenovo Y510p. It has a current-gen CPU and graphics card. It will run a lot faster.

Don't buy an Alienware, even used this laptop is overpriced. Similar spec'd machines tend to be available for a lot cheaper. Check eBay, since you don't have any problems with used you can get some really good deals there. A quick search pulls up this one that has better specs:

As for waiting I would suggest taking the time to find a laptop you want and then waiting till it goes on sale. It also seems to me that if you want gaming get an actual desktop PC, if you want a laptop get something portable.

Ok thanks guys, I'll look for a different one, that MSI looks nice, I might buy it. Also, I already have a desktop but I'll be going to college soon and my full tower isn't really practical in a dorm room.
