Should I return my Asus G752VS and get something more portable.

Quick summery. Should i get something else besides a G752vs that I paid $2000 CAD for. Its really bog and a battery hog. Can I get something close to the same price, with similar specs(1070 GTX and 6820HK i7), that is more convenient?

I recently purchased an Asus G752VS for $2k CAD in Canada. Its the first gaming laptop I have ever had, so I have high expectations for the GTX 1070, the intel i7 6820hk, and 1Tb HD with a 256 SSD. Might be able to overclock, but can't tell from the settings (if anyone has a clue how to check let me know. Also, please let me know if it really improves things.) It supposedly has a good cooling system (does it really? Judging by the vents in the back and the sound of a wind turbine when using, I assume it is good.)

I am playing fallout 4 and planning on using VR for some work projects and for Fallout 4 VR, and need the portability of a laptop for both.

This blows any of my old laptops out of the water. I don't mind the monitor and it has 75hz refresh rate. Fallout 4 on ultra is beautiful, enjoyable response, gaming view, and now that I rolled back the Windows update, boots up in less then 10 seconds for everything. I have the Canadian bilingual keyboard version, annoying, but not a big deal (ASUS, why did you put the markings in bright green... seriously, everything is orange or red and then you throw in green for what I assume is a huge minority. If only it wasn't on a goood sale.)

cons-
its huge, it literally is 10 pounds and could double as a blunt defense weapon or captain america's shield... it is probably heavier. I got it right before a two week vacation and thought I would take it. Barely fits in the overhead on small planes, goes diagonal in my backpack, and doesn't fit between me, the airplane seat in front of me, and the tray. I am tall, but not big gutted.

Poor battery life- what do you expect you are running a mini jet engine fan to cool the thing down. I can play Fallout 4 on Ultra, by itself for 1 hr only. If I try extreme battery saving... no games... maybe 2.5-3 hrs.

Why am I listing this. Well the above cons are a pain. I have until Friday to return it and am wondering if it is better to find something else. I have come to the conclusion that I would pay a few hundred more if I can get it more portable.

I have found the following with a comparable price range, and specs.

So would you return it and get something else? I have until Friday.

Solution
That's the thing you need to take into account when getting a performance laptop with a 1070 and HK processor.
The other option I would recommend is a mini ITX system, but since you already have the laptop, I'd say just stick with it if you can't return it, you don't need to flog it off on ebay for less return.
