I have been saving up and currently have around $500 and I don't know what i should Upgrade. I was planning on upgrading my crappy motherboard that came with a pre built hp desktop to one of the z87/97 with a windows 8 key so around $200 already. The cpu i currently have is the a8 5500 amd trininty core. I know it sucks... So heres the big question. SHould i buy a i7 4690k with my current gtx 750 ti evga ftw edition because i wanna start streaming and will upgrade my gpu later or get a older cpu like an i5 and save up for a new gpu?

Remember if you upgrade to the i7 4690K you will need to buy a mobo. The GPU is good for now. Also whatever mobo you buy, you have to see if it will fit in that HP case, most likely you will need another Case. So, My suggestion is, save up a bit more and get to $800-1000 and then build a nice rig and you leave that HP for other uses!! or you can buy a i5 and work around it with those $500

I currently have the corsair 230 t and im sure any mobo will fit. The motherboard i have right now i sthe 7778 msi jasmine from hp which is complete garbage with the a8 5500 cpu. I was planning on buying an i7 4690k / z87/97 mobo for around $500 with windows 8.

Current - Amd a8 5500 cpu, 600watt corsair psu, gtx 750 ti evga ftw, 16 gb ddr3 1600 ram, and the motherboard. prebuilt only came with the board and cpu and im just wondering if its worth getting i7/mobo now even though my gpu should be better or get a new mobo but cheaper cpu and sae up for a high end gpu. People say my gpu at this moment is too weak for the i7 is that true?

well you can get the i7 and a good mobo. Now, you will have a bottleneck since the GPU will be too slow for the system BUT since later on you will upgrade the video card, then just be patient.
