Siberia V2 Headset Problem

Hey guys. I have just built a PC and went to use my V2s (theyre the ones with the USB port and mix amp). However, no sound is picked up and transmited to them. If I don't use the mixamp/USB parts though, and just plug the green and red 3.5mm jacks directly into the PC then it does work. I've downloaded all the drivers and all the rest of it yet I can't get it to work Anyy tips?

Right click on the volume icon, click playback devices. Look for your device (doesn't have to have the name "headset" or "headphones")and click set as default.

I've already done that... it detects it and all that but all I get out of it sound wise is like.white noise but if I remove the USB and stuff and plug directly in to the mobo ports then the sound is crystal. Just wondering why it's like this cos it means I can't play games unless I get an extension cable for the 3.5mm jacks

Nobody got a solution then? I've had to purchase two extension cables to plug directly into the 3.5mm ports but that's not super ideal mind you. Ahwell thanks anyway
