Silverlight won't work

Hello,
We cannot get Silverlight to function on my work laptop; have replaced it twice. My IT department has given up, but not being able to use it slows down my productivity. IT also thinks it is my (crappy) BellSouth DSL. HELP!

Your connection has nothing to do with Silverlight installing or working, what exactly is the issue, with details? It won't install? Or won't play anything?

Does it work at work?

Evidently it was because I increase the screen size to 125% Is that why I can't print screen either?
