Sim card cannot work

Hello,
why do the sim card cannot be registered after i used it it for a long time?when i called it using another number it says it's out of the network.

You said you used this SIM after a long time. Your number might have been deactivated.
All prepaid phones have a time limit - you must topup your phone within specified number of days or they cancel/deactivate your number.
You may call the Service Provider and inquire.
