How can I deactivate a Vodafone sim card I no longer want to use but do not want it active even if thrown away

use the vodafone self service:
https/www.vodafone.cz/pece/en/otazky/blocking1/sim-card-and-telephone-get-lost/

or contact vodafone directly, the service there should be able to set it to inactive/blocked
