Hello,
I have a friend that is not technically literate and needs an automated feature that will back up her files without being proactive. (Win10 laptop)
Ideally
1-1st backup of all the files in Documents
2-Subsequent files that have had changes since the last backup and all newly created files are backed up instead of all files again being backed up and taking extra cloud space. (<1TB, documents mostly, little or no video or audio)
Remembers username and password to connect w/o being proactive. (Recognizes device.)
3-A time schedule such that every Friday at 11pm (user selected), the computer these files are backed up
if the computer is not connected at the time, it will perform the backup next time it connects to the network
4-WiFi enabled to do backup from her laptop to the cloud OR simply plug in a USB on Friday and let the computer to the regular b/u on schedule.
5-If cloud based can access files for download or view.

Would like it to be as invisible and easy as possible. Doesn't have to be free but not expensive.
(Have another friend with Mac laptop, & latest OS that could use the same. (Time Machine?)
Neither need the OS to be backup up since they don't know that much about it. Documents for sure.

TIA

Solution
Install OneDrive or something similar, it will ask you what to sync.

Past that, any backup program will do this once it's setup with using an external drive, many of them come with external drives. EaseUS Todo Backup is a good free backup software if looking for something not bundled with a drive.
