I have a 5.1 speaker system connected to my Windows 10 PC. Is there any way that I can play a 2-channel source (e.g. music) over all 5 speakers (i.e. a simulated surround sound)? My AV amp in the lounge has this feature and I really enjoy listening to music that way.

Thanks for the reply. I think I found a good solution from Realtek - there's a Windows app called Realtek Media Console which seems to do the job. It allows you to configure your Realtek speakers as a 5.1 system, and has a range of room profiles which can be used in conjunction with a "Speaker fill" option which sends audio to all channels. The app also doesn't need to be opened at startup, so seems to be a good solution for Realtek audio adapters.
