So, as is the case with software licenses, using a hacked Siri in this manner is piracy.

I can't believe Apple fans can trot out their "the hardware is good forever" line of bull**** with a straight face... Siri clearly works completely independently of the device hardware (all it does is send a voice clip to a central server, something phones have been able to do for decades.) Yet Apple insists that you purchase an iPhone 4S in order to get access to it... Planned obsolescence?

[citation][nom]win7guru[/nom]There is not an app for that. Apple you suck, stop alienating your users.[/citation]

Stop pretending to yourself there is an issue here so you can rationalize your bigoted view.
Siri, per Apple, is in beta. As it moves along and moves out of beta its requirements may indeed be too much for older devices. Apple has put a stake in the ground on where they guarantee future support. Nothing unusual. Have a nice day.

That's right... IOS 5 went out to all current Apple iDevices, you just won't have the same experience if you haven't paid the Apple tax by upgrading to the latest device. You can feel free to lord it over all of the inferior Android users that you meet; your iPhone 3G from 2 years ago has IOS 5 on it, and they are stuck with some piece of **** called Gingerbread for the rest of their miserable existence!

So if one wants to partake in this beta, they have to either a) jailbreak, or b) pay.

Apple is just trying to suck the money out of you, not unlike the rest of the business, they just happen to be better at doing it by forcing you to pay for new features.

If Siri was in beta why would they advertise the heck out of it and make it the prominent feature of iPhone 4S? Beta's are released on current devices to test capabilities and troubleshoot, not on brand new equipment. Hows that foot in your mouth tasting?

I just felt the need to point out that iOS 5 does not run on the 3G. It will run on the 3GS though.

Who cares? It was 10X as Hilarius at its current size. Oh man, thanks for that laugh I needed it.
