I've been wondering for a few days on what slim gaming laptop to buy. But after seeing that every laptop had its own drawbacks, I decided to just round up my requirements and ask toms hardware!
- about 15inch
- 1920x1080
- at least 870m gpu
- good trackpad (Not as good as macbooks' but useable)
- thin and light
- heat and noise doesn't really matter but should be cool and quiet when idle or playing small games like hearthstone
- budget: $1800 (for now)
- buying it in America

I know the requirements make the choices too narrow, but its because I will be using this next laptop for a long time!

Solution
Definitely the Gigabyte Aorus X7 v2. It comes with a 860M SLI which adds up to 8GB of dedicated graphics. A 16GB RAM and an i7-4860HQ. It is a league if it's own mate.

There is also the MSI GS70 2PE Stealth Pro which comes with 6GB of GeForce 870M. And a 16GB of ram. It is only a little bit thinner than the Gigabyte Aorus X7 v2 but not that noticeable.

I hope this can help you to look for a slim, yet powerful gaming laptop mate.

Accidentally clicked Best Solution.....but thanks anyway for the super quick reply!!! I know I am being super picky, but is a laptop that meets the requirements as a 15 inch?

Oops, I really sorry I missed out that point.

Then I would say to go with the one and only MSI GS60 Ghost. It comes with a 4K screen. It is awesome laptop.

Hope this helps, sorry about not reading the important part.

That's the old Razer Blade hehe (they're definitely not worth considering, but the new ones more so in my opinion, although there's a definite emphasis on portability with them which compromises the performance so is overshadowed on that front by the MSI), the new ones that are 14" and 17" have a GTX870M and a GTX860M respectively.
