if you are using windows 8 you can check for all the programs running at startup by opening task manager.uncheck the ones you dont need to start with windows as this slows down your boot times.

hello there how old is your laptop? and what kind of drive do you have in it a HDD or SSD? because if it has a 5400rpm HDD it will take that long to boot up especially if you have alot of programs installed and as aldan said the more programs you have that start when windows starts up will cause it to take longer to load hope this helps.

I have installed only a few programs. And in startup there is not measure effect shown in startup manager.

I have 5400 rpm HDD and 8GB SSD nd there is not much to do with startup manager only few programs at startup which is shown as not measured or medium

i have 1 tb of HDD with 5400 rpm and 8GB of SSD . i have 265 GB space left in my laptop .
And i am on windows 8.1 which is preinstalled.

hello there again so i watched that video and read all the comments did you notice he disabled his login screen? maybe thats why his boots faster than yours but still you have a 5400 RPM drive just like i do(for now)

i disabled login screen and all the startup programs but my boot time is stiil 40 sec
