Hi everyone. I looked for threads on this issue but couldn't find any. There probably is, I'm sorry.
Besides, rooting seems to be a common solution to many poster's probs. Do I hafta? I'm already happy. Except this:
I bought a speedy 16 mb sd card for my Samsung Galaxy S4 because I was approaching 1 gb remaining. I moved over every app that would allow.
Most apps moved ten percent or less of total data.

Defenders total mb is 843. Only 20 gets moved over, plus the total jumps 6 more to 849. Total gain 14 mb.
All apps same results, with bigger files fairing the worst.
Dead Effect = 435 to 452/28.

What gives?

Solution
Android doesn't natively support running apps from your SD card, at least not as far as I am aware. Might be due to a manufacturer thing and not actually the fault of the Android OS. What you moved was probably the saved data or misc files it doesn't need to run. You'll unfortunately have to root your device to be able to do that.
