Smart TV to monitor

i need to mirror the Smart TV screen output on an LG TV to an external monitor. as the smart tv function is built in to the set, there isn't any external input to tap off of, and the set doesn't have a video out of any kind. i see many ways to show whats on a mobile device on a tv screen, but little to nothing on how to get what is playing on the smart tv (streaming movie) off of the television and on to an external monitor. does anyone know of a way to do this. thank you.

If the TV doesn't have a video out, then there isn't much you can do.

You need to mirror it from the source, not OUT from the TV.
