Edward Snowden is a famed whistleblower and somewhere between “hero” and “traitor” on the morality scale, depending on your politics. ? Snowden kept his oath, everyone that he told us about broke their oath's/treason. Our rights are unalienable. That means they can not be legislated. The only law of the land is the supreme law of the land. Any code, regulation, ETC, that interferes with said law is and was Void Ab Initio at its conception. When they do not uphold and defend said law they break there oath and that is treason.?

I have no idea if it is technologically possible or economically feasible to produce such a case.

It's immediate benefit of the proposal is to raise our awareness of what can be done to protect our privacy and remind us that we are not exclusively reliant on mobile phone manufacturers. It challenges authority and the idea that reliance on authority is prefered to gathering together in autonomous groups to seek solutions to the unethical intrusions under the color of authority.
