I've tried using several different soft focus filters on my D1, D100 and
D2X. I'm finding that the SFs seem to look MUCH "mushier" (sorry for the
"technical terminology" <g>) on digital than they ever did with any of my
film cameras (N90s, SQ-Ai, etc.). Has anyone else noticed this effect?
Anyone found a really good, really LIGHT soft focus filter for DSLRs that
keeps some detail in the eyes/etc but softens the highlights?
Thanx,
Wm
P.S. A really good subtle SF filter for Photoshop would probably work too.
The typical blur filters seem to blur too much, and I'd rather blur only the
highlights.
