Software to share notes between shift in office

hi everybody, I work in an office with about 20 colleagues in 3 shifts (morning, afternoon, night, as usual)

I need a free software for broadcast notes between us

something light and fast that's always on, when I want to share notes with the others, I want to simply write the note that will instantly popup on everyone's pc. In the same way, when the colleagues of other shift will log on they should see every note shared in the previous shifts

is there anything like this? thanks

PS. we work with windows and someone with linux, we don't have a specific domani. The only common program in every pc is Lotus Notes 9, but I cannot figure out if it's possible to do what I need with it

MS onenote? held on a server? Not very 'pop up' but very structurable and free I think, worth a trial.

Are all of computers connected to Internet?
Skype would do the job as well, since it will keep track of which notes are fresh, and will pop-up on screen. Other IM apps would probably work as well.
