I've been trying open-ear headphones lately, and I read on Tom's Guide that Sony and Bose still lead the market.
So, I'm just curious that do you think traditional noise cancelling headphones are still best or are open-ear designs becoming more popular now?

Thanks for the link!
If noise cancellation is the main priority, traditional over‑ear or in‑ear ANC headphones I think work much better.
What do you think Am I right?

Agreed. I prefer over the ear for the best ANC. In ear ANC is okay, from my experience, but head movement does affect their effectiveness. Not the case with my over ear ones.

Open-ears are definitely getting more popular, especially for walking, commuting, and outdoor use because people like staying aware of surroundings. But I still think Sony/Bose style noise-cancelling over-ears will stay “best overall” for pure sound blocking and focus.

So it feels less like a replacement and more like both will coexist — ANC for isolation, open-ear for awareness and comfort
