[citation][nom]azncracker[/nom]Dam this is becoming like the DS > Ds lite > DSi > DSi XL > 3DS > 3DS XL[/citation]
No, the core PS3 specs have not changed. When purchasing a PS3 game there is no difference whether you are going to play it on a PS3 or PS3 slim. 3DS games do not run on the DS in the same way PS3 games do not work on a PS2. What you have effectively said is, psp > psp slim > psp 3000 > psp go > ps vita > (ps vita slim). The ps vita and psp are different consoles, not the same like you are trying to make out the DS range is.

sony needs to stop wasting time with the ps3 and make PSP Vita phone...the screen has to detach from the base so i have the option for gaming or cell phone..

[citation][nom]gilgamex[/nom]That is not even logical. That would cost in the neighborhood of $1500 JUST for those parts! Adding the rest of what you need to make a PC you are looking at another 1.5k. Not cost effective in the least when you can get a used ps3 for $200.[/citation]

Yeah that only prove you get what you pay for. An awsome gaming machine that can churn graphics like a hotrod. or a fancy pos gaming console. sure both can play games but not everyone is satisfied with the bottom of the barral. PS3 is the last gaming system i would ever buy and Im including all others in the past current and computers.. Only thing that makes the ps3 even close to worth buying was the bluray but now you can buy better ones for way less at the store and you dont have to deal with using a controler to play movies.. even then i dont care about physical media i rather download my movies games and music.

[citation][nom]veryLogical[/nom]to the guy above me, but then add $800-1000 for a good bigscreen TV to your console list, and surround sound cause common, half of a game is the sound. thats another $1,000. so $2,000 for a good tv/sound setup with your console is the same price range.[/citation]
That argument makes no sense whatsoever. You need the same audio/video equipment for a PC or a console. If you want a 47" TV for your PS3, you'll need the same 47" TV or worse, monitor. Same thing goes for sound. And and both cases, you don't need a 2000$ AV setup to enjoy quality image and sound.
