2004 model. Standby lite blinks. What is the problem?

Could be one of many problems, take it to the service center. Bad power supply? Bad illumination source? High voltage, do not attempt dis-assembly.

The number of blinks will indicate your problem. Quite often when a user replaces a lamp, it is not inserted all the way and fails to trip a switch. The lamp doors also have a tendency to warp, breaking switch contact. How many blinks do you have?
