SONY Laptop PCG-7185M

My laptop will not switch on, the power adaptor is OK and puts out 19.46V.
I guess it is 6 years old and the model no. is PCG-7185M.

I was running a defrag. software overnight only to find that this AM it was dead.

Does any body have any suggestions?#

Hi,

Do a hard reset first, remove the battery and AC adapter then press and hold the power button for 20 seconds. Put the AC adapter back in then power it on. If it turns on put the battery back in as well.
