Don't like the pricing but do like the tech.

Sony like Apple innovation at a price.

There will be affordable alternatives coming to be sure

Mmm... I don't know, seem kind of impractical. You still have to carry the attachment somehow, which means you won't always have it with you. Doesn't look like something to leave in your pocket either.

If I'm gonna carry a case or a backpack, might as well use a real camera.

Agree with Murissokah. Maybe a somewhat neat idea but it is literally just shoving an entire digital camera on to a phone. Then the camera sends the pic to the phone so you can do what... email it??? WTF is the point. Oh yea lets take some huge 7MB photos and start firing them off over 3G or 4G if you're lucky. lol

The QX100 does have some really nice specs, with a 1" sensor and f1.8 aperture (wide open). But dat price...

$500, you might as well buy the rx100 for not much more and get a whole camera that's pocketable and easier to use. But nonetheless, that's a cool innovation.

to me it looks more like a wireless camera without the lcd and buttons....nothing new here....just get a camera and you will better off
