@Zagen30

LittleBigPlanet - Flash in the pan. You do not even hear about this game anymore
MGS4inFAMOUS - "not out yet". Enough said.
Ratchet & ClankUncharted - "seriously undersold game" There is probably a reason for that
Valkyria Chronicles - "no marketing + crowded pre-Christmas release date + somewhat niche audience = no sales" No sales = No interest

You are not making a very good arguement for PS3 if that is what you are trying to do.

Here is a link to the PS3 exclusives. I'm not very impressed. Sony wonders why their console is tanking?

you know why blu-ray isn't get the hype it should? It's because lcd was sold as the best tv for viewing HD. I wouldn't even watch a charlie chaplin movie on a lcd least of all Dark Knight or 007.

People who buy a blu-ray player and viewing it on lcd's would think to themselves "what crap, it's just like a dvd" when in reality blu-ray is world's apart from dvd. We need an educated consumer base to make the best of the technology we have. which in hindsight makes Wii the obvious winner from all this.

I just looked at the original post and it appears that it smacked an emoticon in with the url. priceless.

A simple search of "PS3 exclusive games" in your favorite search engine will produce what I am speaking of.

I got a release PS3 60GB version. Still works like brand new with no problems. The HD format war was the most important thing and that makes the PS3 worth it to Sony no matter what they are saying. The one thing that sank Hd-DVD was the audio, Blu can have lossless, HD-DVD did not have the storage space for that.

[citation][nom]ap3x[/nom]Blueray is not going to overcome DVD sales anytime soon so your argument about that is off base. DVD is not a high def format and the Blueray players only recently came down to a price that was easier for people to justify. Nevermind the fact that allot of people still do not have a 1080p capable tv. Most people still have 1080i tv's. That combined with the price of the blue ray disc's itself. 29.00 bucks for a movie. It is still a tough sell for allot of people. Also, you can hardly see the difference on TV's below 42 inches.[/citation]

ap3x kind of off subject but I think it's wrong for you to say that you can hardly see the diff on tvs below 42" - movies encoded in higher resolutions look better on any screen size. The 1080 files on my PC monitor (24") do look better than the 720 files. Of course, to be fair, it's hard to say if it's really just the resolution or the recoding process. You know what, nevermind haha...

[citation][nom]pharge[/nom]Belardo: Your points are well taken.However, there are somethings you have missed. 1) A lot of people who are familiar with the computer tech. download their moives for "FREE". Price of the movie and DRM are never a problem to them.2) A lot of people who download movies for free, don't really care about the quality of the movie that much. AT least they probably don't care about the Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio that much, since most of computer speaker systems will not be able tell the difference anyway.[/citation]

Er no. We're talking about legit quality product, not illegal downloads. And you're right, many people don't care about the quality so it doesn't matter to them. They're just pirates that hurt the gaming industry. It still takes HD space to store movies.

I think little of someone who buys a $1500~2000 52" TV and a $500 console and a $1000+ PC, yet to cheap to buy the software?!

I've seen my share of DL video and of course theres also free videos like HULU and Youtube and the quality doesn't compare to 1080 BluRay and in many cases - substandard to regular DVD. The pirated (and legal) movies do not include the extras, subtitles and other things that give the media value.
