Sony Vaio CS11S/P screen flickers

Hello,

I have a Sony Vaio CS11S/P which has a problem with the screen. Lately the screen is flickering and sometimes it even gets all dark. I've found some other owners that had a similar problem but no answers. Does anyone know about this problem or experienced this issue?

It sounds like it's the inverter. The inverter essentially amplifies the signal from the graphics card to the LCD. It is a relatively common problem though and can be fixed for a decent price. If the laptop is under warranty, send it into sony and they'll fix it for free. If not, you can order an inverter and DIY.
