Sony Vaio model# VPCEH35FM running Windows 7 intel i5 2.5 GHz

I own a Sony Vaio laptop, model number VPCEH35FM. Recently the built in webcam stopped functioning. If I attempt to use it the light indicating the webcam is on lights up and the person you are video chatting with can hear you but cannot see you. I have tested it using the Webcam Companion 4 software provided and no video is shown in the preview pane. Also, i have attemtped to uninstall and reinstall the driver associated with the webcam from the sony support website. Any suggestions are appreciated.
