I have an old Sony VAIO S series laptop (Intel core i3/ 2GB RAM) and I need to upgrade the RAM as 2 GB is too little for windows 10. I have a couple of questions though:

1. I think i have only 1 RAM slot to work with the 2 GB is soldered.
2. Can I only add another 2 GB (matching the default 2 GB) or can I add in a 4 GB stick?
3. Can someone please help me choose an inexpensive RAM? I can install it myself.

Thank you.

Yeah, I find no reference regarding soldered RAM for that laptop. Also some online stores states it supports up to 8GB of RAM so that means it should have 2 RAM slots. You can always check it yourself since you have the laptop. Crucial is a good brand and 4GB DDR3 1.5v RAM sticks should be pretty inexpensive.

The link below is the manual for your specific laptop. Upgrading it starts on page 102.
