sony vaio T series laptop.hdd crash problem with blue screen and OS crash problem too.

I hv sony vaio t series laptop. 2 yrs old.now i face hdd crash problem with blue screen msg and OS crash too. Sony service center cost 16k for replacing hdd. Can i replace it from any local laptop repairing shop?

yes as I just finished replacing a customer's hard drive in an asus laptop because of bad sectors.
