Sony vaio wont turn on

my laptopstarts but then it cums up 2 start it manually but then i click on it 2 start manually it just cums up as a blank screen

1. Are you able to Enter BIOS.
2. If you can enter BIOS, change First Boot Device to CD and boot from some bootable CD like UBUNTU. This runs from CD.
3. If you can run Ubuntu from CD successfully, there might be issues with Windows.
