[citation][nom]Yoder54[/nom]Eh?What old tech? The i5 or i7 CPU's, the trackpad, the unibody design, etc.? Wait, you must be referring to the OS built on the UNIX kernal. Apple may charge premium prices, but one thing they cannot be accused of is using antiquated components and designing antiquated devices. In fact, it would serve you well to research the 'firsts' that Apple has been responsible for in the computer industry since their inception.[/citation]
Apple has never been very inventive, outside of the original floppy disk controller for the Apple II, but you're quite right about them using newer technology that existed in their products before other companies. This includes the GUI/Mouse, SCSI, NuBus, Apple II with slots, 3.5 inch floppy, etc...
I will give you credit for pointing out Unix is obsolete, and giving both sides, which most people don't do because they just want to win an argument rather than being even-handed and correct. To Apple's credit though, the hide the ugliness of Unix better than anyone, but, agreed it's still slapping lipstick on a pig. But at least Apple adds mascara.
