And by the time you add in the USB licensing fees, advertising, and all sorts of other red tape fees and licensing, your $1.60 device climbs to probably $40.

This will never be as reliable as going into a doctor having him or her look at your penis/vagina/anus, swab all of them, plus take a urine sample, plus oral swabs; as well as their training and experience.

People need to get over themselves; a sexual health checkup is just as mandatory as a PAP smear, or a prostate examination, blood test prior to giving blood, etc. If you're going to have a "promiscuous" sex life then get tested regularly.

If you're not mature enough to go to a doctor and have them look at your body for your benefit, then you're not mature enough to engage in that kind of life style, and you're putting others at risk.

(No I'm not some prude preaching to you.)

[citation][nom]theroguex[/nom]Um, no, this isn't right. Because now people will self-diagnose their STDs and not tell anyone what they have. There is a reason you go to a clinic to check for these - if you're found to have one, you are required to report it to your sexual partners. This will just make it to where people try to hide what they have and not tell anyone.[/citation]
What the hell are you talking about. I don't know where you live but in the US the HIPAA prevents anyone from discussing your medical information with others without your consent. You're not required to disclose it to anyone. Sure, it's the right thing to do but there's no law requirement.

In Canada any way; there is a law that if you're identified as a HIV/AIDS positive individual when you go to give blood. You're added to a regional registry (oh kanada -_-) for HIV/AIDS risks. Or at least that is what I was last told when i asked them what happened (when i last gave blood) I'll ask again on the 18th when I'm there.
