Sound bar connecting to my tv

I connected my Samsung F355 sound bar to my Toshiba TV through Audio cable...I checked all the connections and looks fine..still the sound comes from TV...

You may have to turn off the speakers in the audio menu of the Toshiba TV. I assume that you are getting audio through the soundbar and just need to turn the TV speakers off.

Thank you..I have a Toshiba 40E210 and does not have an option to turn off the speakers. What I did is to lower the volume on the TV to almost zero, but there s still no sound.. I tried to disconnect RCA Y connector and reconnect again and it just made a short buzz sound but still no audio sound coming out of the sound bar...still confused...maybe I should buy optical cable...

Do you have the right input selected on the sound bar? The optical cable is a better solution anyway.

The audio out you are using may be for headphones so when you turn the volume down to zero you are turning that down to zero too. Go with the optical as noidea_77 suggests.
