Sound but no picture

During a thunderstorm our decoders plug went so we exchanged it with an old dstv plug we had. So now we can hear sound but no picture displays on the tv, since this we have been watching series and movies through the DVD player so we can still watch it perfectly except for normal tv. Is there anyone who can help me with this?

During a thunderstorm our decoders plug went so we exchanged it with an old dstv plug we had. We have dstv and openview decoders, they play the sound but show no picture on the tv. We can watch movies and series on the tv via the DVD player which shows the picture perfectly. So now we don’t know what’s the problem that we can’t watch tv. Can anyone help?
