sound card usb soundcard or normal sound card

i am planing to buy a sound card .Is usb sound card any good or should i go for normal sound card . 5.1 or 7.1 sound card.

Depends on what you would use it most.

Normally people buy USB Sound Card when their built-in Sound Card is not functioning anymore especially laptops. For me, I rather recommend you to buy a Normal 7.1 Sound Card, you can play with it with a set of speakers. Also, the drivers you will be using are good and will make your place a STUDIO. If you want, either pick ASUS or CREATIVE sound cards. They are good.
