hi, have been making music on my old crappy laptop for a wail and think its time for an upgrade. so im building a desktop and have all the parts picked out, but one i cant decide what sound card to get. please help,thanks

creating music you need inputs, which requires an interface through usb or firewire since you would be using a PC. Mac is the way to go with audio/video any task. More expensive too. What kind of music are you creating? Rap can be done easy without an interface any other type of music with real instrumentation can't be achieved through a 1/8 input on a PC sound card.
